AN ONLINE INFORMATION CENTER FOR DISPOSED WORKERS IN THE CARE SECTOR AND EMPLOYERS OF THESE WORKERS

Within the framework of the POSTCARE 2.0 Project (Inform workers in care services about the rules of displacement), financed with funds from the European Union, in which  Greek partners together with Public and Private Organizations and Associations from Poland, Spain, Germany, French, the Netherlands, Lithuania and Serbia, the problems of assisted caregivers, displaced from third countries, are being analysed; as well as the future of healthcare in Europe and the changes that have occurred in recent years and that affected its regulatory regulations.

One of the objectives of the Project is to raise awareness about the obligations of employers and the rights of PW care givers and the reinforcement of awareness about the rights of posted workers in the professional care sector; when detecting problems such as: The existence of an underground economy; the lack of skills of caregivers; the little definition of service standards; and the need to guarantee the quality of the service provided to users and the regulation on the specific functions of caregivers that, on occasions, are mixed with carrying out domestic chores or the establishment of criteria on working time, among other situations.

In order to meet the information needs of employers of care workers posted to Greece from third countries and of the posted workers themselves, we have created an online Information Center.

The online Information Center consists of an email address: postcare@uth.gr

in which the requests for information made will be collected and from which they will be answered in the shortest possible time .

The information collected in the online Information Center of each country will be used to prepare a detailed analysis of the problems encountered by both posted workers and their employers (which, in most cases, are the users themselves). or their relatives) to present it to the European Commission.
